My thanksgiving was pretty uneventful. My mom and uncle were both in Hawaii on a trip so it was just my brother and my dad in Sooke, which is where we usually host. Since they were gone, my grandma decided that her house, which I live in currently, would host. We put the turkey in at noon for dinner at six and had a relaxing day. My brother and dad came around and ate, then left once we were done as they needed to drive back and my brother was impatient as many 12 y/o are.
This video below is something I found on the tiktok page TheEdgyVeg, who creates vegan substitutes for meat. I’ve seen many videos of how to make fake poultry, but the way she constructed and connected the “meat” pieces was very interesting. I loved how she spiced it and I’m sure it would be a close flavour dupe depending on things like gravy, spices, and stuffing. I think I may try something similar on a much smaller scale in the future. While this tiktok is not MY thanksgiving, I thought it would be good to share due to my inquiry!
